Commuting Tips

When (Not) to Travel

Plan for extra delays on these 3 big match dates: July 1, July 7, and July 15.

Traffic is estimated to slow down around the region for 3 hours before and after each match.

When the FIFA Fan Festival is open from June 11 – July 19, areas around Centennial Olympic Park will remain congested all day.

Georgia Commute Options recommends commuting early or late to avoid the 6 hours surrounding each match.

Or, try teleworking on match days with their flexwork resources.

Ways to Get Around

Until July 19, Atlantic Station employees can get 50% off up to 10 Bird scooter rides a day. Activate your discount to save on quick errands or the last mile of your commute.

Rideshare companies will be extra busy and likely pricier while serving visitors. Since MARTA will be running trains every 5 minutes on match days, consider using transit for your commute.

If you usually drive into the city, try parking at an outlying MARTA station and riding the train into the city to avoid traffic and parking shortages.
